Prowlarr

Centralized indexer management for all your *arr apps.

Overview

  • Prowlarr is an indexer manager that syncs indexers across all *arr apps
  • Huntarr connects to Prowlarr for centralized indexer health monitoring
  • Not used for hunting directly — Prowlarr manages the indexers that other apps use

What Huntarr Does with Prowlarr

  • Monitors indexer health and status
  • Provides visibility into indexer performance on the dashboard
  • Allows Prowlarr configuration from within Huntarr's interface

Configuration

Standard instance settings: URL, API key, name.

Prowlarr doesn't have 'hunt' capabilities. It manages indexers that Sonarr, Radarr, and other apps use for searching.

Tips

  • Keep Prowlarr healthy — it affects all your other *arr apps' ability to search
  • Configure indexers in Prowlarr, not in individual *arr apps
  • Huntarr will warn you if Prowlarr reports unhealthy indexers
